Hello Sandy,

Melissa Wilson asked me to provide a reference for her. She mentioned you are looking for someone to help your Mom.
Last year, I was in the same position. My Mom needed more care than I could provide. We tried hiring caregivers from various agencies and were wondering if there was anyone who could give Mom the care she required. The people referred to us were advertised as caregivers but were actually just companions who struggled with bathing and Mom’s basic daily needs.
Melissa had been caring for the man next door to my Mom for several years and had started her own agency. When we told her what we needed, she referred someone who started right away and who had all of the necessary skills. Lois worked with us until Mom passed away several months later.
In Mom’s last week, we needed someone to spend nights with her and again Melissa was there. She made it easy for my brother and I to get our rest knowing Mom was in good hands. The night Mom passed away, Melissa volunteered to come over on her own time to help us with Mom’s body. We were grateful for her comforting presence. She knew exactly what needed to be done and did it with great care and respect.
I can’t say enough good things about Melissa. She knows her business and is among the most skilled caregivers I’ve seen anywhere. She is caring and kind to her patients and their families. She is honest, trustworthy, and generous. As a business woman, she is easy to do business with. When little issues came up, she addressed them immediately.
I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at this address.
Wishing you the best,
Esther Groves

Esther Groves, Client

It has been my pleasure to know and be affiliated with Melissa for almost four years. When my husband and I first moved to the Terraces, I began looking around for a caregiver because it would be necessary to have one available because my husband has dementia and I am blind.

My attention was focused on two or three caregivers whom I felt were extraordinarily caring in their handling of clients. Melissa was on, but she was in great demand and not available. I grabber her when she had spare time.

Melissa is a consummate professional. She regards each client as a personal charge, and is willing to keep him/her comfortable, happy and healthy.  She is skilled in her field, intuitive and talented in urging forth conversation and good humor. In other words, she will become a loving part of your family unit and a trusted companion. Melissa is reliable, exhibits good judgement and is just plain fun to be around….

Considering Some Help at Home?

Older Americans determined to stay in their own homes are likely to need help at some point — for a few hours a day or 24/7 — with personal care, household chores and nursing services.
